Dialed Outdoor is a guided fishing service based in Juneau, Alaska. We run private trips for one to four anglers — never mixed parties, never a packed boat. Whether you want to swing flies for sea-run Dolly Varden in a Tongass stream, work salmon in the salt on the Juneau road system, or hand a spinning rod to a kid trying fishing for the first time, the trip is built around you.
Owner and head guide Dominick Phillips has tied flies since age seven — and spent a year raising the salmon you'll be fishing for at Juneau's DIPAC hatchery before launching his fishing guide business. Fly fishing is his specialty. Catching fish is the goal, whatever rod you use.

Dominick has tied flies since childhood. Fly fishing is his expertise, but spinning rods are available — the goal is that everyone catches fish.

Dominick spent a year raising salmon at DIPAC hatchery before launching Dialed Outdoor. Most guides learn fish from the outside. Dom learned them from the inside.

What You’ll Catch in Juneau
Juneau's peak fishing season runs from May through September, with different species in throughout the summer. King (chinook) salmon arrive first in late May and June. By July, sockeye, pink, and chum salmon are running, and Dolly Varden char and sea-run cutthroat trout are feeding aggressively in estuaries. August and September belong to silver (coho) salmon — aggressive, hard-fighting, and the favorite of many returning clients. Steelhead show in spring for those willing to chase them.
Shoulder season fishing in Southeast Alaska is slower, quieter, and — for the right angler — often better. If you're interested in fishing outside the summer window, reach out. There's more water available, fewer people on it, and fish that haven't seen pressure in months.

■
Dominick moved from Pennsylvania to Juneau in 2019, but he's been tying flies and chasing fish since he was a kid. Dialed Outdoor is built around small groups, ethical angling, and a genuine love for Southeast Alaska's waters. Whether you've never held a fly rod or you've been at it for decades, you'll fish with someone who'd rather be on the water than anywhere else.Dominick Phillips
